Hello.
I’m a 36 year old TEFL teacher offering English lessons in the BKK3 area, Phnom Penh. The lessons will take place in a safe and relaxed atmosphere in my apartment. The English lessons will be structured in a way that encourages the students to utilize their critical thinking and discernment. They will gain the confidence to develop their mental faculties in an ever- changing and apparent complex world. Depending on the student's skill level in English the lessons will be adjusted accordingly but with the themes of sovereignty, discernment and critical thinking still present.
The students will learn to develop and expand their knowledge of concepts such as empathy, respect, morals and sovereignty through a gentle and philosophical approach that is hard to find in the modern rigid school system. It is my belief that this approach to learning English will generate the motivation needed for the students to seek knowledge and wisdom on their own and be equipped with the vocabulary and confidence to do so.
I offer lessons in the following areas:
-Vocabulary
-Grammar
-Conversational English
-Pronunciation
Young adults and teenagers would benefit most from my lessons due to the philosophical approach, but I can also teach beginners.
There will be no intentional religious or political influence or promotion of such.
Sincerely,
Chris

Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems, such as those connected with reality, existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language.[1][2] Philosophy is distinguished from other ways of addressing such problems by its critical, generally systematic approach and its reliance on rational argument.[3] In more casual speech, by extension, "philosophy" can refer to "the most basic beliefs, concepts, and attitudes of an individual or group".[4]
The word "philosophy" comes from the Ancient Greek φιλοσοφία (philosophia), which literally means "love of wisdom".[5][6][7] The introduction of the terms "philosopher" and "philosophy" has been ascribed to the Greek thinker Pythagoras.[8]
